“The circle was founded on January 10, 2007 at the Department of Electrical Apparatus.
In the same year, we went on a trip to the Łódź Lublinek Airport, where we could get acquainted with the security systems at the airport. We took part in the National Instruments Days conference and workshops in Warsaw and the LabVIEW training, which took place at our faculty. In 2008, we visited the "Light + Building" fair in Frankfurt, after the beginning of the new academic year, the composition of the circle changed and we elected the current board. We took part in the 1st Council of Scientific Circles of TUL - one of the two presented projects took 6th place and received funding in the amount of PLN 1,600 ("Model of a remotely controlled electric locomotive"). Some members of the circle took part in a two-part Siemens SIRIUS Modular Safety System training in Warsaw, concerning the safety of machines and programmable safety controllers.
We started the year 2009 with a visit to the Atlas Arena Multifunctional Sports and Entertainment Hall in Łódź, thanks to Skanska we were able to see it during construction, just before its opening. During the 2nd Council of Scientific Circles of Lodz University of Technology, our project took first place and received funding in the amount of PLN 3,800 ("Autonomous sumo robot"). In June, we organized an educational and integration trip for all club members and carers to Kazimierz Dolny, during which we visited the castle in Janowiec, Kochanowski's manor house in Czarnolas and the old town in Kazimierz, while the main point was a visit to the Repair Workshops of the Nałęczowska Kolej Dojazdowa in Karczmiska, where we could get acquainted with the railway technique live.
